I have a client who is receiving MT940's in the new ZMW currency code. These are failing validation in the SWIFT accelerator as the currency code doesn't appear to be included in the vocabulary for the latest 2012 message pack. There are other currencies that were updated in 2012 but this is the only one that is impacting my client. I'm using BTS 2010 with cumulative rollup 5. Extract from the SWIFT online KB below with more details. New currency in Zambia (ZMW) As per ISO 4217 Amendment number 154, there is a new currency code for Zambia : ZMW. The currency table on the SWIFT network will be updated with ZMW on December 1, 2012. The old currency code ZMK is no longer valid as from January 2013 and will be removed from the SWIFT Network on January 2014. Its deletion date will be announced in a future broadcast.
