Some aspects of the Connect website are not High Contrast Friendly in that they turn invisible when in high contrast mode.

Reproduction Steps
On windows xp change your theme to "High Contrast"
Close your browsers and reopen them.
Various entities such as the "Search" field in the upper right corner will be invisible when typing text.
Expected Results
If you're going to set the background to white, you need to specify the foreground to be black. Otherwise users with high-contrast alternate/ themes will generally not be able to see what you're typing if the combo ends up being a white background on white foreground .
Please, either be High Contrast friendly or at least specify both background and foreground for specific items.
The "Were you invited to join connect" is grey on black - Lack of consistency in setting the background color of form elements resulting in both an inconsistent behavior and also extremely difficult to read text.
