Hi Ixthnar,

Which version(s) of Firefox do you have installed on your machine? Which version(s) show in SuperPreview?

Thanks,
Michelle

The problem occurs with FireFox 3.5.5 and had occurred with with the prior version. Thanks!

Is 3.5 the the version of Firefox that appears in your SuperPreview? Also, can you create an attachment using the Help->Send Feedback menu item in SuperPreview, and attach the zip file to this feedback item?

Thanks,
Michelle

Can you provide a few more pieces of information? First, where did you install Firefox 3.5.5 from? Did you upgrade from a previous Firefox version? If so, which one?

Also, in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox, can you right-click on the file called xpcom.dll, choose Properties, and take a screenshot of the General tab and the Details tab and attach the images to this feedback item? We’ve heard of similar issues from other users and we’d like to cross-reference the version and size information of this file.

I can’t guarantee this will fix the issue, but you may try uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox.

Thank you for taking the time to provide this information.

Hi,

The request files are attached.

A fresh install of the current FireFox 3.5.5 did not change anything. While I cannot give you the prior version of FireFox, I let it auto-update -- how that helps.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Ixthnar,

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. A member of our team has a written a blog post about the problem you’ve experienced using Firefox 3.5.5 in SuperPreview: http://blogs.msdn.com/xweb/archive/2009/11/18/why-doesn-t-expression-web-superpreview-work-with-firefox-3-5-5-on-xp.aspx

Since the problem is Mozilla’s, I’ll be resolving this bug as External. Until they release a fix, you will have to roll back to Firefox 3.5.4 to use it in SuperPreview.

Thanks,
Michelle

Hummm ... sounds like SuperPreview is an interesting idea that is not ready for prime time and may not be feasible. Hey guys ... watch out for that disease that's killing Windows and Office.
