I would like to be able to establish a default search set that allows me to exclude chunks of a site. For example, I deploy TinyMCE with many of my sites. It consists of about 350 files. But I rarely, if ever, need a search to extend into those files. Excluding that many files from source code searches can appreciably speed up a search.

My personal site has about 2,900 files. I think I could exclude over 1,000 from searches.

I would also like to be able to specify a single folder (or perhaps "selected folders") to be searched. For example, if I'm searching for something in the TinyMCE code set, which is contained in one folder sub-tree, I don't need to search the entire rest of the site. If there was a default exclusions feature, an override might be necessary to allow a folder search to proceed.
