I find that Expression Design is a great tool for producing vector artwork for use in RGB color spaces - as originally intended. It's easy to use, the learning curve was short and not very steep and it's not a resource hog.

I also do a lot of work for commercial printing and I would really like to have the ability to work in and export directly to PDF within the CMYK and Pantone color spaces similar to Publisher. I know that is not ED's intended use but I think MS is missing out on additional functionality (and sales) by not having that capability. Converting to CMYK or Pantone after designing and exporting will always result in a color shift that may or may not be acceptable - by then, you're pretty far down the work stream. It really isn't practical to use different software to work in different color spaces which gives your competitors a very distinct advantage.
