The addressbar has massively improved since the betas, but this new teaser to download Windows Search is absolutely annoying, please remove this advertisement!It even happens when display of results from Favorites and History is disabled.

Please try to reproduce this issue in No Add-ons mode and answer the following 2 questions. You can find the No Add-ons shortcut under All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).  Click here for more information.

A dropdown with URLs that fit, an advertisement "Download Windows Search to improve history and favorites results" and a line with "Go to ..." appear in the dropdown.

Thank you for this feedback.

The line you describe is there because we use Windows Search to provide more and better choices while you are typing in the address bar. If you choose not to install Windows Search, however, it should not display forever.

The link should display until either
-- Windows Search is installed, or
-- The link is clicked and 7 days pass

If have met one of these conditions andstill see the link, please re-activate this bug.

Thanks for the info. However: how do you expect people to know this? If I'm not interested in Windows Search - why should I *ever* click that link? I checked the help for any hint, but it doesn't mention Windows search or this link at all. I hope you think about improving this somehow for RTM.
