Hi,

our website makes IE10 crashes if IE10 is updated with KB2846071. As soon as we load the page, it crashes. Beside, IE10 doesn't crash if update is KB2838727 (we have a computer with this one and it works).

IE 7 8 9, firefox, opera, chrome don't crash.

Searching for a solution, we found that crashes occurs with a particular theme we use in Liferay. Theme are applied to all the page, and use typically css, javascript, velocity and pictures files.

Any idea or solution to get through this ? Anyone else experiences crashes with a particular IE 10 update ? Or using Liferay, Javascript library (we use jQuery + some library like datepicker and custom code). Thanks in advance.

The "event observer" ("observateur d'évènements" in French) entries for those crashes is attached as the observer.txt file.

The content of the Report.wer file is attached as the report.txt file.

Thanks for your time.

Are you sending me to the "KB2846071 breaks event.clientx and event.clienty properties in onbeforeunload event handlers in IE9 and 10" bug ? They don't seems related. Is it normal ?

Are you keeping a trace of all bugs relatd to KB2846071 or just the clientY one ?

Thanks

I just love how "The Internet Explorer Team" closed this ticket, when, surfing again on the web to find a solution, I found, on Microsoft support website (https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2846071/en-US) :

"After you install the security update for Internet Explorer 9 or for Internet Explorer 10 that is described in Microsoft security bulletin MS13-055 (KB2846071), you may experience the following issues when you access some websites:
>>>A browser window automatically closes and logs you out of a web session.<<<
Drop down menus are not correctly populated.
These issues mainly affect customized internal company websites.

Microsoft has confirmed this issue and will post more information in this article when an update becomes available."

So, is "A browser window automatically closes and logs you out of a web session." include by "IE10 crashes" ?
