Workaround(s)
It's impossible to install the CTP with visual studio express edition if the (optional) GUI is not also installed. If that's intentional, it probably ought to be documented better. I tend to code from the command line, so I didn't have it installed.

Also, can the PSDK or WDK environments be supported easily?

Thanks. We're not sure whether to document or support non GUI installs of VC++ express. But we won't be supporting PSDK or WDK enviroments. I will resolve this bug when we decide whether or not to support non GUI installs of VC++ express. (Actually, I didn't even know we could do that :))
