Description

The Get-DscConfiguration cmdlet should have a -ComputerName parameter. Currently, the only way to retrieve DSC configuration data from a remote computer is to establish and shutdown a CimSession. This requires quite a bit of extra code, and doesn't make running the Get-DscConfiguration command very quick and easy to use in an interactive PowerShell session.

Use the CimSession parameter, you don`t need to create a CIM-session using New-CimSession beforehand:
Get-DscConfiguration -CimSession server01
