Install-ADDSDomain hangs indefinitely if credential is not provided
8/22/2013 1:18:34 PM
User(s) can reproduce this bug
When deploying a new domain using Install-ADDSDomain from a non-domain member server (I was using Server 2012 Datacenter) the installation does not require the -credential switch, however it hangs indefinitely if a credential to the parent domain is not provided. I was unable to cancel the domain installation and, upon reboot, the server is disabled.
How often does this happen?
Have you seen this problem before in this product?
I do not know if this issue existed previously
Install-ADDSDomain -NewDomainName child -ParentDomainName lab.net -CreateDnsDelegation -InstallDns
"Yes to all"
I should be prompted for credentials if I haven't provided any
