Powershell 4 remove-smbshare won't work if the target directory has been deleted
9/5/2013 3:54:31 PM
User(s) can reproduce this bug
I made a new smbshare in the Windows 8.1 preview, then deleted the directory. The share was still present, and when I tried to remove it with remove-smbshare, I got the error that the system could not find the file. When I re-created the directory, remove-smbshare worked to remove the share. This behavior is not present in Powershell 3.
How often does this happen?
Have you seen this problem before in this product?
No, this is new to the most recent version
New-Item -path "c:\LABS" -ItemType directory;
New-SmbShare -name LABS -Path "c:\LABS";
The share should be deleted.
