Workaround(s)
At the moment it is only possible to decide if a job should fail or succeed based on the outcome of the actual running step. It would be nice to define that a job should fail, if at least one step failed and to succeed if all steps succeeded.

If I want to have such an behavior in the moment, I have to implement extra scripts which make everything much more complicate than it had to be, or I have to split it into multiple jobs.

Thank you for your feedback; unfortunately we won't be fixing this in the next release of SQL Server.

Thanks,

Hebo_sql,

Thanks for the suggestion, I've added it to the list for consideration post-SQL Server 2008.
