Query plan: iterator cost percentage way off...
as Won't Fix

User(s) can reproduce this bug
Table spools can be costly, but 1053066% of the plan cost? I think that's a bit extreme! See attached .SQLPLAN file and screen shot.
SQL Server 2008 - Developer Edition
Tools (SSMS, Agent, Profiler, etc.)
Windows XP SP2 Professional
Operating System Language
Steps to Reproduce
Load the attached .SQLPLAN file.
Iterators have gigantic cost percentages with respect to the query -- see the final query in the batch.
All costs should add up to 100%.

I am resolving this feedback item as a duplicate of another item that will aggregate all the DCRs related to Showplan so that they can be considered and prioritized as a group. This action represents neither a promise to act on the item nor a decision to reject the request. At this point I cannot promise a timeline regarding when any decisions will be made or actions taken.
Thank you for providing feedback and helping us to improve SQL Server.

Hi Adam Machanic,
Thank you for reporting the problem. As you rightly point out the percentage calculation seems to be in error. Neither the plan nor the execution is affected by this calculation.
I have marked this bug to the product team for fixing it in a future release.
