Report Builder 2.0 Query Designer Fails to work with Stored Procedure
as Not Reproducible
9/24/2009 12:09:22 PM
User(s) can reproduce this bug
If the developer chooses "Stored Procedure" as a Command Type and the SP has parameters without default values, the wizard fails to accept the procedure as a valid row source.
SQL Server 2008 - Enterprise Edition
Windows 7 Ultimate
Operating System Language
Steps to Reproduce
Create a new dataset. Point to a database with a stored procedure that's defined to take parameters that do not have default values set. Set the Command Type to "Stored Procedure". Click the ! button to test the sp and provide the parameters. Click next--wizard fails as it attempts to execute the SP without parameters--even though they were provided in the earier test.
Wizard fails as it attempts to execute the SP without parameters--even though they were provided in the earier test.
Wizard should step to the next phase where columns returned from the SP are moved to the appropriate column/row/sum areas.

We are not able to reproduce this issue internally using an SP defined on a SQL Server data source. I am resolving the issue as "Not Repro" and indicating that more information is needed. Please confirm what type of data source you are using, and if possible attach a sample SP that reproduces the problem. Thanks for your help investigating this issue.
