Description

Importing an excel table into PowerPivot is giving error for unknown reason.

UPDATE: Discovered the issues was caused by Column Headers with Slashes (/) and Line Breaks. This error needs to be handled differently.

PowerPivot version 10.50.1450.3

Alex, Thanks for providing us the feedback.
This issue has been fixed (automatically replaces the line breaks with space in the colum header) and will be available in version next to SQL server 2008 R2.

If you encounter this error, check if column headers of your Excel table have line breaks (multiline text).
Removing linebreaks from column headers is a workaround for this problem.
