Would like an option to reuse the SMSS instance when I open a file from windows explorer (ie. Same instance, new tab in the instance) there is an option to reuse the same tab if the file is saved, but this is not what I want. (Want to leave this file open and have a new tab)

This done automatically in the SMSS, so not sure why it was changed (must just be a VS 2010 gui thing)

This bug has been fixed in SSMS in SQL Server 2012 RTM.

Thank you for providing feedback to Microsoft.

This issue is fixed and will be available in the next public release of Denali - wherein the default behaviour is to open .SQL files in an already opened SSMS instance.
