Workaround(s)
For now SQL Native Client for UNIX exists only for Linux 64 bit...

Will other Linux platforms be supported in a near future?

Our software exists on:

- MS Windows
- Linux
- Mac OS/X
- IBM AIX
- HP/UX
- Solaris

We support 32 and/or 64 bit architectures, according to the OS...

We have already an EasySoft-based solution for the different Unix platforms, and would like to provide SQL Native Client as an alternative, but today only Linux 64b is supported... our customers are asking for more platforms.

Proposed Solution

As solution?
1. Understand that if you want to compete with people like Easysoft, you need to be present on all of these UNIX platforms
2. Get the budget.
3. Buy the required machines and OS
4. Make the ports...

Primary Benefit

Improved Installation

Other Benefits

Virtualization

Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately we will not be able to address this because of other priority work.

Recently we release a Public CTP for SUSE Linux. We are looking at the other platforms as well.
