Description

If an entry in the memory_usage column of sys.dm_exec_sessions exceeds 262143, Activity Monitor produces a 8115 error when you expand Processes.

The problem is caused by the following code of the Processes section in Activity Monitor (captured by profiler):

[Memory Use (KB)] = s.memory_usage * 8192 / 1024

So since SQL 2008 R2 Service Pack 3 doesn't and will not exist what do we do? I'm running SQL 2008 R2 on Server 2012 and get this error more times than not (mostly when the CPU gets any sort of load on it). I'd like to know what my options are other than upgrade to SQL 2012 which I can't due because of vendor restrictions.

Thank you
