functionality would increase usage of value descriptions in cubes, thus making user experience much more friendly by making it more likely that developers would use the description properties to provide a sort of Data Dictionary for users. The value would greatly increase in a self service BI solution where having hte descriptions as part of the cube would make users much more likely to use them rather than a seperate document that they have to hunt down, if it exists at all.
