I strongly believe that it would be very important to have the possibility to decide if headers and footers from a subreport must be shown on main report or not, and if not, if main report adds or replaces subreports header's or footer's.

Proposed Solution

a) Allow showing subreport's header and footer on main report as is
b) Allow main report to decide if can add or replace subreport's header and footer

In my opinion a) and b) would be considered a single solution, letting the developer/customer choose the appropriate behavior.
