I install an instance of SQL Server 2012 (without SP1)
I install a second instance and SP1 was detected during installation and added
I start SQLServer2012SP1-KB2674319-x64-ENU.exe and it fails with that error :

     "the system cannot open the device or file specified"

see Logs in "Actual Results"

Note :
In "installed programs", I saw only "Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Setup (English)" at SP1 version (11.1.3000), all other components are without SP1. The 2 instances are without SP1 also (11.0.2100).
--> see screenshot

Note : i downloaded 2-times the binairies of SP1 and the same EXE works on another server

Hi Jean-Pierre, thanks for sending the logs. Based on the error code this appears to be corruption in the msi cache. In order to address this issue, you will need to re-cache the .msi. Please refer tot he KB articles below for more details.
