Description

Currently if there are multiple (think 25+) instance of SQL Server in your environment that need to have Upgrade Advisor run on them, it must be run manually per instance which is a headache and takes much longer as it needs human intervention to baby-sit and run for each instance. When the number of instances is low, this is not an issue. When the number of instances are higher it becomes a time constrainst and elongates the time to run it on each instance.

I am proposing added functionality to the Upgrade Advisor 2012 and v.Next to have the ability to add servers to a list and have the upgrade advisor automatically (either by gui or command line) run through the added instances much like you can with most other MS tools.

I also propose having these tools include the functionality to query the CMS instance and retrieve a list of servers that can be checked or unchecked to quickly add them to the list.

Hi!, thanks for writing in to Microsoft.

We took a look at this feature request and triaged it against several others. While we are closing this request as 'won't fix', we have taken note of this internally and we will try & incorporate it when we revisit this functionality in a future release of UA.
