Printing to PDF from SSRS on 2008 R2, the bar charts look pixilated but exporting to PDF looks okay.

The chart is a bar or column chart with 3D off and Drawing Style = Cylinder

Steps to Reproduce

1. create a bar chart with 3D Off and Drawing Style = Cylinder (see attached Test.rdl)
2. print to PDF - the output of the chart is bad (see attached Test_Print.pdf)
3. save to PDF - the output of the chart is good (see attached Test_Export.pdf)

Actual Results

2. print to PDF - the output of the chart is bad
3. save to PDF - the output of the chart is good.

Expected Results

I expect printing and saving to PDF to have the same output of a good chart.

Workaround #1
To work around the issue, save the report as a PDF file before printing.
1.    Run the report.
2.    Click Export and choose PDF.
3.    Click Print.
Workaround #2
(Note: The gradient on the chart changes with this work around)

1)    Switch to 3D enabled bar chart:
a) Click 3D Effect ...
b) Check Enable 3D
c) Set Rotation (degrees), Inclination (degrees) and Wall thickness to 0.
d) Go to Fill, set Color to No Color
2) Select the Chart Series
a) Set BorderColor: No Color
b) Set BorderStyle = Default
c) Set BorderWidth = 1pt
