Hi,

I'm trying to install SQL Server 2012 Express Management Studio on my Windows 8 PC.
I downloaded SQLManagementStudio_x64_ENU.exe but the Installation always fails with:
"managed sql server installer has stopped working".

Download and try to install ENU\x64\SQLManagementStudio_x64_ENU.exe from this Location: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29062

The installer crashes with an error message "managed sql server installer has stopped working"

The installer should run normally and install the product

Hi SQL Server Team,

you can close this issue - I've found a solution. My System was damaged and I refreshed my Win8 Installation and now it's working.

I've found a solution, my system was corrupt. I refreshed my Win8 Installation and everything is working now. You can close this ticket.
