Workaround(s)
We are trying to use SQL Server 2012 to handle XML that follow the ACORD XML schema, but the ACORD schema uses restriction of union types that are not supported by SQL Server 2012.

We get the following error message :

XML Validation: Invalid definition for type '{http://ACORD.org/Standards/Life/2}ENUMERATEDTYPECODEVALUE_TYPE_TC'. SQL Server does not currently support restriction of union types.

ACORD is a well known international standard for information exchange, mainly used by insurance companies.

Without that feature SQL Server XML is useless for us, and probably many others.

Thanks !
