Workaround(s)
Teradata Queryband feature provides a mechanism for applications (i.e. SSAS) to wrap metadata around a query (i.e. band the query with metadata) during a session or transaction call to the database. The queryband is a set of name-value pairs such as ‘Job=marketing; Userid=rs122158; Application=sales_cube;’. Both the name and value are defined by the user and/or middle-tier application (via global/builtin reporting parameters so they can be customized to each application’s unique needs.

Today, no 'official' Queryband integration or support exist between Microsoft and Teradata today.

Unlike SSRS which has a workaround (thought not elegant) using Expression-based Connection String, SSAS does not seem to provide similair solution.

Curious on Microsoft thoughts and/or suggestions re: next steps or workarounds

Thanks a lot for this feedback.
We will consider scenarios and options for adding meta data to queries in a future release.

Kind regards,
