I can't believe that 2012 "Books Online" interface does not include a simple search feature dedicated just to Books Online. I want to look at one T-SQL command syntax example but there is no obvious way to look that up without wading through the entire MSDN world of data?

Thanks Carla, I "assumed" local install was no longer available. That should work for me.

Thank you for your feedback! We have created bugs in internal databases for the team that manages MSDN as well as the development team that is responsible for Help Viewer to ensure that your feedback gets in front of the right people. Since this request is being tracked in bug databases owned by other teams, this particular item will be resolved as external and closed. This is not an uncommon request and one we continue to advocate for.

We value your feedback and appreciate your taking the time to open this Connect item. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts with us.

If you install local Help, you can search just Books Online content. This topic, "Add or Remove Product Documentation for SQL Server" provides instructions for downloading documentation for local viewing. The topic URL is http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms166022.aspx.
