Thanks for the wonderful foundational work you have done with documenting the list of Latch class names.

I am specifically referring to http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms175066.aspx.

In the last couple of days, I have dug deeper into your documentation "
Diagnosing and Resolving Latch Contention on SQL Server".

And, traced latch wait types to:

ALLOC_IAM_PAGE_RANGE_CACHE

Can you further expand your most useful online docs to include the one listed above and others yet to be discovered.

Is there anyway I can get helpful reply per an actual bug that is "troubled" us for a few months.

The bug's ID is 774146.

The Title is Incorrect metrics returned for Performance Counter "SQL Server: Databases Log File(s) Used Size (KB)" causes multiple erroneous alerts

Whomever has been working on simply closed the ticket and marked as will not fixed without acknowledging where their is an actual problem nor proving actual workable solution that can help us with Monitoring.
