Description

Hi,
Contained database feature is a good feature. But some functionalities should be added. Let's say we have a login and this login accesses more then one database. It is not possible to make this login contained for the time being. Because whenever this login becomes contained, will not be able to access the other databases.
Most applications do not access just one database. To be able to make this contained login useful, contained login should be able to access other databases.

Hello,
After carefully evaluating all of the suggestion items in our pipeline, we are closing items that we will not implement in the near future due to current higher priority items. We will re-evaluate the closed suggestions again in the future based on the product roadmap.

Thanks again for providing the product suggestion and continued support for our product.

Thanks for your workaround Robert, but your recommend has security concerns and I am not sure whether microsoft supports this workaround.

I think you may be confused about the purpose of contained databases.

You already can. I blogged about how to do this already: http://www.sqlsoldier.com/wp/sqlserver/crossdatabasequeriesbycontainedusers
