Description

Because SQL Server 2012 is missing master.sys.sp_dboption Stored Procedure, the configuration setup fails when running the Visual Studio Test Controller 2010 Configuration Tool, with the 'Configure for load testing' checkbox checked and SQL Server instance listed.

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this issue. sp_dboption hsa been discontinued in SQL Server 2012 as documented in http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms144262.aspx. If this is still an issue, please file a connect bug for Visual Studio 2010 to use ALTER DATABASE.

Thanks,
Ajay Jagannathan.

Before running the Visual Studio Test Controller 2010 Configuration Tool, after SQL Server 2012 is installed, run the following SQL command from SQL Server Management Studio 2012.

'CREATE DATABASE [LoadTest2010] COLLATE SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS'

Once the database is already created, the configuration completes successfully.
