Description

SQL Server 2014 does not support cross database transactions for in memory OLTP. We have a use case where we want all tables in our Staging database to use the in memory OLTP with schema option and we want to load data in our target DataWarehouse database on the same server using a MERGE statement. Given the current product limitations, we will have to move all of our tables from the Staging database to the DataWarehouse database.

I don't want these temporary staging tables in the DataWarehouse. In a database that already has 500 objects, adding another 500 staging tables is a lot of extra unnecessary clutter. It also means I have to alter my security so that users can read all tables except for the staging tables.

Thanks very much for the suggestion.
Cross-database transaction support would indeed be useful. We will not be able to deliver this in SQL2014 RTM, but are a considering the feature for the next release.
