Description

I get the error An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000B) when calling a generic method.
I found a similar reported bug (https://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/ViewFeedback.aspx?FeedbackID=168192) that resulted in the same error, but since this is not the same setup I post this one for reference.

The issue should be fixed in .NET Framework 3.5 (2.0 SP1) and later. Brian, could you attach a simple repro code that fails for you on Windows 2008 R2?

Thanks!

Apologies for the late reply, I must have missed your post. The fix could not be included in the update that accompanies Visual Studio 2008 (Orcas) because of a high bar that was set for bug fixing. I'll keep you posted on further progress.

Thats good. When will this fix be available? Will it be included in a update for the framework?

Thank you very much for your feedback. This is a different bug than https://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/ViewFeedback.aspx?FeedbackID=168192. Coincidently we fixed this issue a few days ago.

Thanks again for taking the time to report this,
Ladi
