Workaround(s)
I think Web Deployment Projects are important enough to include with the release of Visual Studio 2008 rather than being an add-on.

Problem Statement
I guess the problem is that because Visual Studio doesn't integrate it fully, when adding an existing WDP to a solution, you have to enter *.* in order to see the project file.
Proposed Solution
Release WDP with VS2008.
TAP Code (if applicable)

See the attached BMP file.

You need to enter *.* and press Enter to view the WDP project file when adding it to a Solution. This is because Visual Studio is unaware of this type of project file.

I'm not sure I see a good reason to have 20 assemblies with my website rather than a single one. At any rate I would like an option to make just a single assembly for a single website.

Thanks for the suggestion. Web Deployment Projects will be available in VS2008 as an out of band download similar to that of VS2005.
