Workaround(s)
Approximately when will cross-browser printing be supported in Silverlight? When will an API be provided so that I can add a print button to my Silverlight 2 application?

Problem Statement
There is no print support in Silverlight 2. Printing via IE7 does show the Silverlight content but also prints the enclosing page information. I need cross-browser support for printing.
Proposed Solution
Provide a printing API in Silverlight 2
TAP Code (if applicable)

I would be happy if it would print anything in firefox other than a black box. I like the content surrounding my application, but need it to print in Firefox.

Is printing through the browser window an option for you? If so, you could use the Html DOM APIs. I explain how to do this on this free reference card: http://dotnet.dzone.com/announcements/silverlight2
