It would be nice to get a "local history" feature existing in some major IDEs in JAVA world like Eclipse and NetBeans. When refactoring it's very important to be able to compare previous versions etc ... There's an add-in but a built-in feature would be nice (http://www.codeplex.com/VLH2005)

I want to see this added too! comon Microsoft, all modern editors have local history...besided Visual Studio!!

Local file history is one of those simple features that make professionals' life much easier. No offense to the add-in developer, but this is much better suited to a well-integrated implementation within the IDE itself.
