Hi Marc

Thanks for taking the time to evaluate Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2's WPF and Silverlight Designer.

We agree with your point that in very complex designs, especially with a lot of collapsed elements, it can become difficult to select and manipulate objects on the design surface. In the longer term we are considering the possibility of implementing a number of improvements in this area, and we will take your comments into account in that process. In the short term, viable workarounds for such situations usually involve the use of the document outline for complex selection problems, and manipulation of the selected object via the property browser or XAML rather than directly.

Given where we are on the Visual Studio 2010 release cycle, our activities are focussed on bug fixes and stability/performance work, and we are not planning any further additional features for this release. I'm therefore marking this suggestion as postponed to a future release.

Please do continue to raise feedback and issues on the Beta release - even when we cannot take immediate action in the current release, this feedback helps shape future releases.

Thanks
