I started Advanced Configuration wizard and setup all accounts and sql instances. Verified dident give any errors and only one warning regarding that a new application pool must be created for the default website.
The configuration failed with when Configure Services was shown complete and SharePoint Web applications was not started.

There might be a connection to WAS, i want to confirm that the service is running.

Steps to Reproduce

Use advanced configuration wizard, non-default sql instance name for SQL Server 2008 with SP1.
Use separate TFSService account, TFS Reports account.

Actual Results

Configuration failed in the middle.

Configuration end successfully.

Thank you for reporting this issue. We have identified the root cause of the failure you experienced and have resolved the issue. I am closing the bug as Fixed.

Thanks for reporting this. This issues has been fixed in TFS 2010.
