Come on you can't put the free full vwrsion of SQL Express in the beta version of VS 2010 Beta 2. Are you worried about it taking to long in installing the VS 2010 or the size of the download.

Either put the full version of SQL Express in the install package or make it manitory of installling SQL Express before you can install VS 2010

Now I have to figure out how to install the management studio part for the SQL Server Express and all the other tools that been left out

Thank you again for sharing your feedback with us. We considered all options, including the ones that you propose, and decided to go with the SQL Server 2008 Express Runtime Only. Apart from the size consideration you noticed the decisive factor was that SQL Server Management Studio Express requires .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 that is not installed with Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2. We felt that Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2 provide enough database development functionality to satisfy the needs of many developers (obviously not all), so that seemed like a reasonable tradeoff.

We also tried to make it as easy as possible to install SQL Server Management Studio Express through Web Platform Installer. You can just start the following webcast and scroll to position 5:40 to see the process yourself:
