Description

Section 18.2 of the C++0x draft standard describes the type max_align_t, a POD type with the maximum possible alignment requirements.

In conjunction with alignment_of and aligned_storage (which are both already implemented in beta 2), this library-only addition would be extremely useful.

Hi,

Thanks again for the suggestion. We've implemented it, and <cstddef> will provide max_align_t in VC11.

As always, if you have any further questions, feel free to E-mail me at stl@microsoft.com .

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. Although it's too late to add this to VC10, I've marked this suggestion as being targeted for VC11. This Connect bug will stay open until then.

If you have any further questions, feel free to E-mail me at stl@microsoft.com .
