Description

I am trying to learn WF4 so i downloaded the following example:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=35ec8682-d5fd-4bc3-a51a-d8ad115a8792&displaylang=en

I am working with the Purchase Process c# example. I created an app based on this work flow and tried running it. As soon as i try to make a call to WorkflowApplication.Run() I get a long list of exceptions. I went to Debug->Exceptions and checked off Common languages Runtime Exceptions so I would be able to see where the error is.
The exception that came up is "Could not load file or assembly 'System' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."

I didn't receive this error when looking at the Purchase Process example until i noticed their was a WinForm Client. So i switched the start up from the Web client to Win Form client and started to receive the same types of errors when WorkflowApplication.Run() is called.

"Could not load file or assembly 'System.Activities' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified"

Can you try the RC build? You can get that here:

Thanks!

Hi CoreyFournier,
I tried to reproduce this on a clean installation of Beta 2 and could not. The symptoms you are seeing and lack of repro on another machine seem to point to a machine configuration issue. This is potentially an issue with the Beta 2 installation on your machine, so I would point you to the VS 2010 prerelease forums (http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vstsprerelease/threads) for more help in debugging this problem.

I copied all of the dll's from C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.21006 to the bin directory of my project and it ran correctly.
