Description

I have the tool Visual Studio Remote Debugging Monitor on a remote computer open Windows 7, and on my development machine (windows XP) under Visual Studio 2008 Asocio the process running on the remote machine.

The problem is that you can not debug each line of the local source. Despite having the symbols file. PDB on both machines. The error that displays when you load the symbols for the process is:

No native symbols in symbol file. (in PDB file)

Hello,

Are you attempting to debug Native, Managed, or Mixed mode? The error message you provided "No native symbols in symbol file. (in PDB file)" sounds like you are attempting to debug a managed application while attached with the native debug engine, is that possible? If that is the case, the issue will be resolved if you debug with the managed debug engine instead of the native.

Regards,
Visual Studio Debugger Team
