I had this error while installing the Visual Studio 2010 RC:

File vs_setup.msi is invalid.

Any solutions ?

b) The installation was aborted with the error: "the file vs_setup.msi" is invalid

Hi Maurizio,

Due to the short runway we have to ship Visual Studio 2010 RTM, we're resolving this issue as not repro. If you provide us with the logs, then we will reactivate and continue to investigate.

Could you please provide Visual Studio setup logs from your system, so that we can better analyze the problem?

The setup logs can be assembled using VS log collect tool available at http://go.microsoft.com/?LinkId=8967044
