Hi, I raise this suggestion with the following:

Imagine a person who wants to develop a project based only on Framework 4.0 and no longer wants to hear from previous framework!

Then that person is familiar with the Template ASP.NET Web Service and when it tries to do not get it!

The idea is to keep the familiarity of visual studio with this template.

As we all know the 4.0 Framework does support fully the ASP.NET Web Service, but in this case should first go to a ASP.NET blank solution, manually adding and Web service-related elements of ASP.NET.

So this review is very important to achieve sustainable productivity!.

Please to take in consideration!

The Web Service Template is only available for .NET 3.5. When creating a new project, the Web Service Template will only appear if 3.5 is the framework selected from the dropdown menu above the list of templates

In order to create a .NET 4.0 Web Service in Visual Studio 2010, try the following:

1) Click File -> New Web Site (not New Project)
2) Select the "ASP.NET Empty Web Site" template.
3) Right click on the project, select "Add New Item"
4) "Web Service" will now magically be an option to select.
