Hi,

We are internally unable to reproduce your problem. Have you seen the error immediately after you installed the Blend 4 RC ? If yes, then that is expected and Blend Add-in and SDK for windows phone should be installed to get the necessary support for windows phone in blend.

I have seen that reinstalling the tools solved your problem - so can we consider the issue is resolved ?

Hi @Mark,

Thanks for the reply, Appreciate the hard work you guys have been putting to make the tools easy to use for developers.

There is no-error, when i create silverlight Apps in VS2010 Ultimate, Blend 4, and VS2010 web developer.

If i create "Windows Phone Application" project in all of them, the designer part will throw up the error as mentioned in title, and does not show the designer, the code part works good. In fact i can compile it and execute it, the emulator will display. but the designer part is missing , as i can not drag and drop the items on it.

Last week it worked perfectly, i downloaded the latest tools, intsalled new version of win mobile developer tools, from then on i'm getting this error.

Please find the details for the queries,

==============================================================
1 . Sliverlight project works fine in VS2010 Ultimate, Blend 4 and VS 2010 VWD. shows the designer part where
    i can drag and drop items.
==============================================================
2 . Yes, your correct. If i create Windows phone project in any tool , the designer part throws the error as mentioned.

Hi @Chaitrax

Sorry to hear you are hitting this issue.

I need to confirm a few further details to investigate further.

1. Do you see this error in Visual Studio 2010 (or Blend 4) when creating a new regular Silverlight project
2. Do you see this error for any brand new Windows Phone project you create (from your screenshots it appears you do - can you confirm)?
3. Please can you confirm what versions of the following you have installed:

Visual Studio 2010 (Ultimate or another SKU? RTM or a different version)
Visual Web Developer 2010 (RTM or a different version)
Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Silverlight 4

Thanks
