GIT TF command keep prompting for password since days ago. It was working fine for my team with correct alternative credential configured for basic authentication. And there is default configuration for connection username & password on GIT Client as well.

Now none of my project member could connection through TFS via GIT TF.

GIT TF version is 2.0.0.20121030.

--- NOTE Issue got resolved by upgrading to 2.0.1 GIT Client. ---

Steps to reproduce

1. start GIT bash
2. $git tf pull

Actual results

$ git tf pull
Connecting to TFS...
Password:
<... keep prompting for password while the default username and password were setting correctly on GIT client ...>

Expected results

$ git tf pull
Connecting to TFS...
< ... start pulling latest changes ... >
