Format Document does not remove blank lines from aspx document by OwyheeRover

Previously, in VS 2010, the menu option Edit, Advanced, Format Document would remove blank lines from HTML documents, including aspx files. In VS2012 this does does not seem to be the case. If this is by design, then there should be a menu option for it.

Details (expand)

Visual Studio 2012

1) Open an aspx file.
2) Insert blank lines.
3) From the menu, select "Edit, Advanced Options, Format Document".
4) The blank lines are still there.
