Has this issue been fixed, or did you find a solution ?
I've the same problem, adding Dataset from report designer VS 2012 crashes, using Add new Item -> Report Wizard, same result, VS2012 crashes.

Any help ?

Paolo.

We have seen occasional issues when data sources have external references and the references cannot be resolved. We have not been able to get any reliable repro. If you can supply a project with the problem for a repro, that would be appreciated.

Hello,

Sorry for bothering. Is there any update?

Hi YiLinLee, thanks for your response.
You can collect a dmp file by right click on devenv.exe on task manager, and select create dump file.
Or you can collect a dmp file by feedback tool:
1. Start Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 Feedback Tool
2. Select "Add to an existing feedback"
3. Select type: Hang

How can I get the dump file needed?
Posted by Microsoft on 2/5/2013 at 1:32 AM
If the dmp file is too big to upload, please follow this:
************************************************************
Please zip the file and use "FeedbackID-778515" as prefix of the file name.
************************************************************
You can use the following workspace to upload the file by IE: https://sftemea.one.microsoft.com/ChooseTransfer.aspx?key=4714c7a4-1646-49f2-8e2c-91f818cdd165
