Description

cannot generate bootstrapper for Visual C++ Runtime 2012

Problem:
We are using the msbuild task 'GenerateBootstrapper' (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms164294.aspx) to generate a bootstrapper for a setup project. For the parameter 'BootstrapperItems' we pass a list of items like...

<BootstrapperItem
    Include="ProductCode">
    <ProductName>
        ProductName
    </ProductName>
</BootstrapperItem>

For each of these items we need a product code to work. This code we get from the file product.xml of the respective package ('<SDKs>\Bootstrapper\Packages\<somePackage>\'). This approach worked up to Visual Studio 2010.
After rolling up to Visual Studio 2012 we can no longer find the product code for the Visual C++ Runtime (all other packages seem to have a proper product.xml with a product code).

Has the envisioned way to deploy MSVCRT changed?

regards
Johannes
