In our shop, we have a number of developer experiencing the following message:

Microsoft Visual Studio is Busy
Microsoft Visual Studio is waiting for an internal operation to complete. If you regularly encounter this delay during normal usage, please report this problem to Microsoft.

We are using VS 2012 (sp1). We have all the latest Windows Updates too.

Steps to reproduce

Open Visual Studio.
Open a Solution.

This happens to solutions under TFS control and others that are not under TFS.

Product Language

English

Operating System

Windows 7

Operating System Language

English

Actual results

Visual Studio hangs for upwards or a minute.

Expected results

Not too hang!

Hi Gotdablues, we'll close this feedback. Please reopen recently and upload a 32 dump file if you have not resolved your issue.

Hi Gotdablues, thanks for your response, but these two dump files are 64 bits, we need 32 bits dump file. Please upload again, thanks for your time.

The dump file is larger than 50MB. How should I upload the file? Thanks.

Hi Gotdablues, sorry for my late response. You can create a dump file through righting click on devenv.exe process in task manager, selecting Create Dump File option.
Or you can create a dump file through feedback tool
1. Start Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 Feedback Tool
2. Select "Add to an existing feedback"
3. Select type: Hang
Windows 7 has a built-in 32-bit task manager under C:\Windows\SysWOW64\taskmgr.exe. We can use this and select "Create Dump File" for 32-bit process. To confirm we are using 32-bit task manager, check the process name of it. It should be taskmgr.exe *32.
