The .sln file of my MVC4 Web API project always sits in the changes section of team explorer in my project under git source control.

Visual Studio 2012

When right-click and compare with unmodified, there is no changes. When right-click undo, asked to reload the project, goes out for a bit and then goes back into the has changes section. Thus can never perform a Git pull
